Shave of the Day 4/28

Today, I broke out the Gillette Aristocrat. I am going to send it to my oldest son, Philip. We were at his home for Eli's birthday, and I talked up wet-shaving with him. I will get together a starter kit for him and send it off this week. The Aristocrat will be a good starter razor for him. He has used cartridges and gel in the past, but now he shaves with electric. I think this will make a big difference in his experience. Today's shave was:

New Favorite

My British Gillette New is fast becoming my favorite razor.  It has a long open comb and is a very smooth shaver. I keep going back to it because of the great shaves. I have had no nicks, cuts, or irritation with this remarkable shaver.  The original handle is a little short, so I have been using the handle from my American Gillette New. I think I would prefer a handle that was heavier, but otherwise, I am totally satisfied with my new favorite razor.
